Getting Ourselves Into Hot Water

Stuff is still happening, there's a garage full of tiles, toilets, cisterns, bathroom cabinets, tap fittings etc.  Various floors are being prepped for tiling and the painters are busy everywhere.  The supporting poles for the Eastern deck have arrived and will likely go in next week so they can get on with those.  The supporting stud/bolt thingies for the glass balustrades are going in and our new-fangled heat-pump hot-water cylinder is installed... outside.  But that's okay because it is supposed to be there :-)

Lastly, or firstly given the layout of this blog thing, a couple of friends (Simon & Andrew) did a fly-over of the site last weekend and snapped a few pics.  Not often you get to see your house from the air far better than what you can see from Google Earth.  Thanks guys!

Simon and Andrew zero in for their first (photo) bombing run...

Spot the moron on the rock

Our hot-water cylinder with its heat-pump heating unit on top.  This thing is insanely efficient and economical apparently... unless it's really cold in which case... not so much.  Hopefully it is relatively quiet given its proximity to our future bedroom!

Good view of the bedroom deck and our comms mast (basically a sturdy pole that will have any aerials or satellite dishes on it).  We made a decision not to mount any aerials etc on the house itself to discourage birds from shitting all over the damned thing because that's where our drinking water is sourced from.  I'd rather not drink poo if it is all the same to yoo...

The cathedral, aka the aquarium is looking very... white.  It also echoes like a mofo although hopefully carpet, furnishings and stuff will soak up a bit of the echo :-o
