Progress feels so slow at this stage!
Well, in the last week there has been some progress, but it still does feel like not a lot's happening. There's been more prep work done for the plaster cladding, and some of the axon cladding has started going up - in addition, the spouting has started appearing, and the ceiling battens have been installed. So - in reality, a fair bit happened in this last week.
We've been told by the electrician that pre-wire should happen this coming week, and the windows should start going in tomorrow - we shall see......

Exterior cladding begins
Well, the roof is mostly done now. Just a few finishing touches needed for some details (like the flashing to actually make it watertight for example!). However, work is now underway on the cladding, with the wire-frame material for the plaster surface going up this last week.
On Thursday the battens for the plaster started going on |
By the weekend, the wire mesh was partly there |

Still waiting for the deck to be waterproofed though |
And windows and doors might be a good idea too |
Yes, windows will help keep the weather out... |
So much rain recently, the flow in the stream has been very strong |

Roof nearrrrrrllllly done...
So, not a whole hell of a lot of progress in the last couple of weeks - the weather has been really poor... Still, apparently lots of stuff is ordered for delivery soon... And at least as of this week all the roof steel is up - just the flashings to finish now.
Yay! no more roof gaps! |
And from the other side... |
You can see the batons being put on the games room wall for the plaster |
And from the pond |
